Story of the day

                         A stork was very kind and helpful to other animals and birds. She was loved by all. A cunning fox was envious of the stork. He wanted to mock the stork. He invited the stork to his house for dinner. The fox served soup in two flat plates. The fox enjoyed the soup and the trick he played to laugh at the stork. The stork could not drink anything from the flat plate with his long beak. She was sad but did not quarrel. She pretended to drink from the plate and thanked the fox. She invited the fox for a dinner in her house the next day.                         The fox arrived in time. He was surprised to see soup served in two different types of vessels. Soup for the fox was served in a large plate. The soup for the stork was taken in a tall jar. Both of them relished the dish. The fox was very sorry for having tried a trick to make fun of the noble stork. They parted as good friends.                         Jesus Christ taught the golden rule of life during his sermon on the mount: “Do for others what you want them to do for you.” This golden rule is taught by all religions.
