If whatever you are doing is the best of times, or maybe something terrible is happening and it's the worst of times, you need to still be careful. It's the only time we've got, so we must make the best of it! Don't waste it away in sorrow if it is the worst of times, and don't waste it away ridiculously if it's the best of times. It is the only time we have, so we need to not waste any of it. Make do with what you have, and make it the best! Time stops for no one.
