Daily Quote

"Knowing trees, I understand the meaning of patience. Knowing grass, I can appreciate persistence."
-Hal Borland
Trees are patient. They slowly grow stronger and taller, patiently. They continue to grow, even when they are done with growth in height. They grow leaves every season, and they grow limbs. They are so patient that they are willing to spend up to a couple thousand years perfecting their beauty.
Grass is persistent. Even when it is chopped down, it springs right back up again and grows quickly.
So be like a tree, and be patient. Everything will turn out ok, and most things take a bit of patience. Don't worry, just keep calm and be patient. Also be like grass- when others cut you down, jump right back onto your feet, brush off your shoulders, and move on in life. Revenge never did much more then getting people dead at war. Of course, that is only major major revenge between big lands and lords, but arguments never get anyone anywhere. So just be persistent and get up again. Everything will be ok! Just remember the tree, and be patient... Then remember the grass and keep on trying.
